Founded in October 2022 at Palm Springs High School, Good-All is an online marketplace that provides certified Eco-Friendly Packaging to its consumers. Established as a B-Corporation, we are committed to improving conditions for the planet and the people that inhabit it. Our company promises to support all businesses who want to help the environment while also working to alleviate the harmful effects of shipping and packaging. As single-use plastics are becoming more prevalent in society than ever before, Good-All is a much needed alternative in online shopping. Problem and Solution statement
Over the past few years, Covid-19 made convenience and delivery options even more prevalent in our society. Overpackaging is a factor of the convenience industry that hinders environmental sustainability. The EPA states that Packaging makes up a significant portion of municipal solid waste (MSW), amounting to 82.2 million tons of generation in 2018 (28.1 percent of total generation). The main goal of packaging is to protect the product, however, the amount of material used in distribution is often times more than necessary. Most people believe that in most big marketplaces that are involved in over packaging like Amazon and Shopify, the number of angry customers created by over-packaging is far greater than you would expect. One might think that using more material than necessary only affects the environment and company. However, there are also many negative effects for our consumers.Good-all provides a viable solution to reduce the large amount of pollution and waste caused by packaging . Good-All’s marketplace only sells Eco friendly certified products. Good-All's shipping and production are our main concerns. We offer carbon-neutral shipping by offsetting emissions, ship items in bulk, use sustainable packaging materials that can be repurposed and offer a returns program for your empty product containers.
